The faculty of foreign languages in Ningbo University comprises a teaching and research team with a complete discipline echelon and a high level of academic qualifications. There are more than 140 teachers, including 30 professors, more than 40 associate professors and over 50 doctors. Nearly 100 overseas-returnee teachers and six international teachers bring international perspectives, complemented by a diverse local faculty to create a rich cross-cultural educational environment.
Among the teaching staff, there is one member of China National Committee for Translation and Interpreting Education of the Ministry of Education, one member of China National Committee for Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, one specialist receiving a special State allowance, two New Century Excellent Talents awarded by the Ministry of Education, two distinguished professors of “Qianjiang scholar”, two distinguished professors of “Yongjiang scholars”, eleven experts selected in the provincial “151 talent project”, and eight doctoral supervisors (including cooperative supervisors).
